Membership Terms & Conditions

By becoming a member of Parity Martial Arts and Wellness, you agree to the following terms:

1. Member Conduct

• Members agree to abide by the rules of conduct, behaviour, dress code, equipment usage, and service use, as displayed in the academy or provided to them.

2. Membership Fees

• Membership fees are strictly non-refundable.

• Non-usage of the academy does not entitle early termination of this agreement or any refund.

• Non-usage does not affect payment obligations.

• Parity Martial Arts and Wellness is not responsible for monitoring or notifying members of non-usage.

• Responsibility for under-18 memberships remains with the parent or guardian.

3. Membership Freeze

• Members may request to freeze their membership at any time.

• Freeze period: minimum 1 month, maximum 6 months (for standard memberships).

• A membership may be frozen no more than twice in any calendar year.

• Requests must be made by emailing info@paritymartialarts.co.uk at least 2 weeks before the intended freeze start date.

• A freeze is not valid until acknowledged by return email.

• If sufficient notice is not given, payments due will still be collected and are non-refundable.

4. Termination & Cancellation

• Cancellation requests must be emailed to info@paritymartialarts.co.uk with at least 10 business days’ notice before your payment date.

• Minimum contract terms must be completed before cancellation.

• Cancellations within 14 days of joining (statutory rights) will be subject to deductions for lessons already booked.

• Any unpaid membership fees will be collected via card or direct debit without further notice.

• Ongoing debts may be referred to solicitors for recovery.

• Refund requests must be made directly through your bank due to the increase in fraudulent claims.

5. Suspension of Access

• Parity Martial Arts and Wellness reserves the right to block access or terminate memberships without notice in cases of non-compliance with these terms or inappropriate behaviour.

6. Facility & Service Changes

• Facilities, services, and equipment may be changed, replaced, or withdrawn without notice.

• Such changes do not affect your membership agreement obligations.

7. Children

• Children must not be left unattended in the academy at any time.

• Parity Martial Arts and Wellness accepts no responsibility for children brought into or left in the gym by parents/guardians.

8. Damage & Responsibility

• Members are solely responsible for any damage caused to the academy, its facilities, equipment, or services, if caused by wilful act and/or negligence.

9. Personal Equipment

• Parity Martial Arts and Wellness accepts no responsibility for members’ personal equipment.

• We are not responsible for loss or damage to property including, but not limited to: mobile phones, wallets, headphones, bags, or other items, whether or not stored in lockers.

10. CCTV & Surveillance

• The entire academy is monitored by 24/7 video surveillance for security.

• Surveillance may be viewed remotely by the operator or security provider.

• Recordings may be used as evidence and/or for prosecution.

11. Health, Risks & Liability

• Members acknowledge the inherent risks of injury or ill health from exercise and combat sports.

• Participation in activities is entirely at your own risk, whether supervised or unsupervised.

• In consideration of participation, you agree to release and indemnify Parity Martial Arts and Wellness, its franchisee, and associated companies from all liability arising from injury, loss, damage, or death caused to you or your property.

12. Privacy & Communication

• We take your privacy seriously and do not share your data with other businesses.

• If you do not wish to receive email, SMS, or postal correspondence regarding membership, special offers, promotions, or health information, you may unsubscribe by emailing or writing to us.

13. Parking

• Parking is subject to availability on local roads and car parks.

• Members must comply with local parking rules.

• The Parity Martial Arts and Wellness on-site car park is for coaches only, as clearly marked by signage.

• Parity Martial Arts and Wellness accepts no responsibility for damage, fines, or towing of vehicles.

14. Discounts & Promotions

Only one discount, promotion, or special offer may be applied to a membership at any time. Discounts cannot be combined or transferred. Family bundle deals, student discounts, Armed Forces, Veterans, and Emergency Services discounts are all treated as separate offers and cannot be used together.
